Ennnnn.... number fifteen already! Steinberg never sits still, Cubase 15 is a fact, with another fun new feature under the bonnet. For years, Cubase has been one of the most popular mainstream DAW packages on the market, and also one from the early days of music production with computers. Many began their musical careers with Cubase on their old Atari; what it can do today, people back then could hardly imagine.

Key news in Steinberg Cubase Pro 15

DAW software has a tradition in tape-based sequencing from way back when. As in: Recording MIDI in a horizontal strip (virtual tape) in which you could cut and paste. With the new Pattern Sequencer, Steinberg welcomes a somewhat different method of note input: step-time, as with arpeggiators, polyphonic if desired. You place the result back into a virtual piece of tape on your timeline. Besides new Expression Maps, you now also get voice separation; it's the familiar groups: vocals, bass, drums and the rest - handy for remixes.
