The PR 77D large-diaphragm microphone by Heil Sound is the successor to the PR 77. It has a full-range response and a focused cardioid pickup pattern that's perfect for podcasting, broadcasting, and other applications. This mic's vintage look,which was inspired by old-fashioned RCA mics form the '50s and '60s, makes it a real eye-catcher on stage as well. The cardioid pickup pattern of the PR 77D boasts an attenuation of 40 dB at 180 degrees off-axis, which results is minimal interference. Furthermore, the PR 77D is equipped with two switches; one for a vocal roll-off at 120 Hz with -6 dB per octave, and for music, there is no filter, so the entire audio spectrum between 60 Hz and 16 kHz is at your disposal. The microphone has a standard 5/8-inch thread flange so you can mount it onto a boom pole or stand.
