The sound character is similar to that of the original 87, which has been used in so many recordings by great artists. This WA-87jr is recommended for vocals, guitars and percussion, and these (and other) instruments are recorded with a clear top end, full of detail, and with a very low noise floor. For this competitive price, you simply cannot shoot holes in it. Warmly recommended thus!
