Steinberg Iconica Sketch is an entry point among orchestral libraries, and at least the entry point in the Iconica series. It involves 4.6 GB of material. In terms of presentation, it's a reasonably complete orchestra even: strings (including second violins) with the essence of articulations. In brass, we find: horn, horns, trumpet, trumpets, trombone, euphonium and tuba. Among the woodwinds, we get piccolo, two separate flutes, two separate oboes and an English horn, two clarinets and a bass clarinet, two bassoons and a contrabassoon. Furthermore, among the tuned and untuned percussion you also get the usual: celesta, glockenspiel, marimba, timpani, tubular bell, xylophone, harp and general percussion. As such. this kind of library is not entirely unique. There are plenty of libraries today, some bigger and heavier than others. Butrrr: the loading takes forever, the CPU will have a hard time and RAM may also be plentiful. That's the price you pay for an extended A orchestra. There you are with your somewhat smaller computer, or a laptop that slurps the energy out of its battery. Then Steinberg Iconica Sketch, especially for portable use, is not a bad solution at all!
