Ladies and gentlemen, synth nerds and synth nerdesses: the Erica Synths Bullfrog Drums, a new drum machine from Latvia! It looks like a drum machine from yesteryear, with an obvious x0x interface and some colourful dials - something that was more common in the vintage days than today. But, is 't a similar vintage drum computer? Not quite. No analogue oscillators, but samples. You can either sample yourself with the device, or upload samples to this Bullfrog via USB. In case you don't feel like doing that on day 1: there are, of course, banks of factory sounds, from Richie Hawtin and Erica Synths themselves. But so you can put your own sounds into this Bullfrog, seven per bank - because there are also seven dials for levels. And that ultimately makes it a drum machine with a unique sound of its own! You can also use this device for your Eurorack, in the role of CV/gate sequencer. Also because of its vintage look a more than recommended product. Of course, this vintage look is nothing, but there are plenty of people who like this look. This device will find its way!
