Kaotica Eyeball reflection filter

Studio engineers, instrumentalists and vocalists know how difficult recording in an acoustically poor spaces can be. Reflection filters can take care of most issues, but this is far from ideal. Kaotica have a simple, yet effective solution: the Eyeball. This product is a combination of a reflection filter and a pop screen. You can position the Eyeball over the microphone, whereby it's isolated from the space in which it is situated. Perfect for mobile applications!

Kaotica Eyeball: practical and good-looking

Isolating a sound source from the space it's in, is important because 30-50% of a recording is determined by the acoustics of the room, which means that if the acoustics aren't great, your recording might be ruined. The Eyeball is an effective solution to this end, as it fully isolates the microphone. Moreover, the performer isn't faced with a bulky refection filter/screen - the Eyeball is only slightly larger than the microphone.

Pop screen

Pop shields, pop screens or wind filters are almost always needed for recordings. Plosives can be very dominant when singing closely into a microphone, and they can really mess with your mix. In order to prevent this from happening, a pop screen is used. Happily, the Kaotica Eyeball is already provided with one. The blue part (the eye) can be used as a pop screen, but if you're using an external one you can also remove the blue part.
